There were a lot of events in our area this past weekend … Team Rockstar Games / Signature Cycles had a solid presence at most of them!

Hunter Mountain Road Race
Jeffrey Lesser and Peter Nicolardi lined up for the Cat 5 race. The race consisted of two 39 mile laps with technical descending at speed over 50mph. A stiff tempo on the last big climb shattered what was left of the field. Two riders broke away on the last descent, leaving a group of three – including Jeffrey – to sprint for the remaining places. Jeffery came through in 4th, Peter in 15th.

Luci Olewinski took 3rd in the Women’s Cat 4 field at Hunter Mountain Road race this weekend.

Orchard Beach Criterium
Brian Wolf lined up with the combined Masters 35+/45+ field.  With six laps to go, two guys in front of Brian touched wheels and crashed taking Brian went down with them.  He did not finish the race but is already back on the bike (with a couple broken ribs!).

Cheryl Wolf did the Women’s 123 race with Emily Underwood.  There were 31 girls pre-registered.  The race was fast and smooth.  Some girls attacked and tried to get away but there was a headwind going into the start/finish and no one stayed away for very long.  Both Emily and Cheryl worked to bring back some of the attacks.  Cheryl was 4th, Emily was 6th in Cat 3/4 race.

Garrett Lynch was also in action in the Men’s Cat 4 race and finished in the field.
